The Knight Rider!

Taking it back to the 80's with this one!

Here is the colored version of the Knight Rider Illustration I did back in November 2013. I basically added color to the Black and white version as well as a few special effects. It came out better than I expected in my opinion. I think I'll post a blog in the future detailing my creative process step by step using this Illustration as an example.

Knight Rider WIP

Here is the black and white version of a concept poster I completed recently of the popular 80's television show Knight Rider. I must say I really had fun working on this drawing. I am currently working on the color version so check back with me soon!

I know, I know, It's been quite a while since I've posted any new art on my blog page and your right...It has been a while. The truth is that I have been very busy working on freelance projects for clients throughout the year, moving into a new apartment and recently getting married. Finally things are starting to slow down for me and I feel like I'm finally settling into my new norm as a married man. All that being said, here is some new artwork for your viewing pleasure.

Here is some promotional art I created for a client for his up and coming new web-comic. This client happens to be great writer for comics and animation and is currently working on a few new projects. I must admit I really enjoyed working with this writer and enjoyed the challenge of helping to bring his characters to life on paper. The original drawing was completed in pencil. Then I finished the drawing by adding inks and finally scanning, coloring, and adding the title fonts using photoshop.

Showing off the traditional art skills!

Feels good to show off the art skills in a different medium every now and then. Here is a movie poster I created for a client back in January. The Illustration was originally done using all color pencil. I then scanned the Illustration, added the title words and black bordering in photoshop. Needless to say the client was very impressed. Hope my artwork will help to promote and attract many eyes and ears to watch his film!

New collaboration piece! A few weeks ago I opened my email to find this nice art gift from a fellow artist buddy of mine.  A colored version of my Cowboy Bobop drawing. Definitely looking forward to our next collaboration.

New year, new art!

2013 is here so I thought I would start off the year with some different artwork. Had to take it back to my fine art roots and show off my skills. Here is a portrait I did for a client of mine from a few years ago. The portrait was illustrated from an orignal color photograph using all color pencils on 9 x 12 bristol paper.

It's fun to take it back to the roots sometimes. The original photograph is below.
